A little collection of my latest drawings and ACEO artist cards.
Now that the weather is finally warmer on a consistent basis, I’ll have more opportunities to crawl around in my backyard. I’m not so fortunate to have one of those amazing high end cameras to do incredible macro photography with. I’m just working with a camera phone which I’ve been able to get some pretty decent shots, especially for references. I’m sure this shot will find it’s way into one of my drawings. I’m envisioning a busy little bee on top of this dandelion. 🙂
It’s becoming a habit now to do these little practice bits before I start on anything major. It helps me to get focused and visualize the actual piece I intend to create before I actually start to create it. But doing these little bits of practice also helps me to get into a calmer state of mind. It’s like doing yoga before meditating. Any nervous energy, which I often have, gets worked out in “practice”. I suspect all this nervousness will turn into a personal collection of what nots. 🙂
A little fantasy illustration I did a few months ago based upon the concept of transformation.
