First Layer Of Scarlet

When it comes to stippling in color, red and it’s various hues are the only other colors I really enjoy working with. Although I have done a number of other pieces using different colors, I admittedly have a preference for simple black ink. But with this drawing I’m opting to throw in my other favorite inking hue.

I’m just getting started on the first layer which will give me a base tone and then I’ll work in the shadows along with fleshing out some highlights where needed. I plan on doing just the head in red with the body being inked in black. So far things are looking pretty good. 😀
